8th century psalter found in Irish bog goes on display
Back in 2006, a backhoe operator found a 1300 year old Psalter in an Irish bog. He had the foresight to put more peat on top of it to protect it from the oxygen in the atmosphere... and now the National Musuem of Ireland has finished restoring it and has put it on display. It contains paper and bindings from Alexandria, Egypt, providing a material link between Coptic Christianity and the Irish Church. Read more about it on the
