Fort Meigs First Siege Schedule of Events

Early next month, the biggest War of 1812 event is taking place in Perrysburg, Ohio (well, save the reenactment of the Battle of Lake Erie, but you need a boat to get to see that...). Here's a big picture of Fort Meigs as it looked during the Siege in 1813, and a run-down of the schedule for May 3-5:

Join us as we kick off First Siege: 1813-2013 with an artillery duel across the Maumee River that represents the week-long bombardment of Fort Meigs leading up to the fighting on May 5, 1813.

Kids can "enlist" in the militia. You'll have to complete your enlistment papers and make your mark on the line to join the army.
